“New Mexico Building Trades Council Focusing Attention on US Military Service Members
Joint effort to get service members and civilians, great wages and benefits
(Albuquerque, New Mexico August 21st) The New Mexico Building Trades Council, Workforce Connections Veterans Department and the New Mexico Army National Guard are rallying resources to present US Military Service Members career options. We are welcoming all interested in starting a career with the Building trades and supporting our Military Service Members to attend. A chance to speak with recruiters and organizers from Union building trades about a pathway to receiving proper training and ultimately retirement is our intent for this event. The highly trained members of our Armed Forces are attuned to focusing on the immediate problem, relying on their training and completing their mission. The New Mexico Building Trades are looking for motivated persons that can pass not only drug tests but background checks as well. By having this open venue to initiate a conversation about how standing together in solidarity is in both the Service Members history and the New Mexico Building trades as well.
The Expo will be held at the New Mexico Army National Guard Armory at 600 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque New Mexico from 9am – 2pm on August the 21st. There will be at least 9 Unions participating including their respective apprenticeships.”
“We are welcoming all interested in starting a career with one of the New Mexico Building Trades Unions to this event. The expo will have Displays from the respective crafts including vehicles staged throughout the armory. The projected positions available, on the date of the event, should be near 200 across all of the Unions. A portion of them will require being able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
